We seek to be good neighbours in the communities in which we develop and operate projects. We are committed to an approach of involvement and inclusiveness in our engagement and we are working to develop innovative solutions which will still enable the project team to keep the community updated and involved in this proposed project’s development in spite of Covid-19 restrictions. We will continue to make every effort to ensure that we provide you with all the information you need to fully understand the details of the proposed project as the plans progress.

We are encouraging people to visit our virtual exhibition to see and comment on our latest proposals and supporting information. However, more generally, we can be contacted to start a conversation about this proposed project.

Community Benefit and Investment

We recognise that any wind farm development means there will be change for an area and that this change is experienced mostly by those living in that local area. For this reason, we commit to ensuring that local communities should benefit from having a wind farm in their locality and that opportunities for local community investment in any successful project are also explored.

If the project is approved, the local area will benefit from a Community Benefit Fund of up to €500,000 per year, plus an additional Near Neighbour Scheme for residents close to the site.

We hope that our conversations with the community can explore the benefits that a project such as this could bring to the area. This would fully take into account the updated Wind Energy Guidelines and the new Renewable Energy Support Scheme (RESS).

If you would like to discuss the Community Benefit Scheme, please get in touch – we are keen to hear from you.
